Thanks for stopping by The Coaching Wisely Network, where our mission is “Helping coaches positively impact people and communities by leveraging the lifetime lessons of sports.”

Why do we do it?  Like most of you, our lives were changed for the better by the caring influence of a coach.  We are simply trying to pass that gift on to other coaches, but in an efficient way that can impact so many more coaches than we could speak to individually.

About the Author: I have also been involved in athletics as a player, coach, administrator, official, and parent. After coaching and working with various teams at the college, high school, and youth level in a variety of roles for 18 years, I earned a Ph.D. in Kinesiology & Sport Studies and now serve as an Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Coaching Education master’s degree, minor, and lab at Georgia Southern University. I am also on the Coach Development Team of Sport Coach America, an invited speaker of USA Basketball and US Soccer, and a past board member of the United States Center for Coaching Excellence.
